Chelsea close to sign Real Madrid defender

Chelsea is close to secure a deal for Real Madrid defender Danilo according to report in Metro
The Premier League champions have already secured the signature of Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, but it is understood that head coach Antonio Conte is still in the market for a new full-back.


According to Marca, Chelsea has submitted a £31m offer for Danilo, and the Blues are confident that Real Madrid will sell a player that has struggled to displace Dani Carvajal in the Spanish club's first XI.


The 25-year-old made 24 appearances for the Spanish giants last season, but just 17 of those came in La Liga.

The Brazilian helped Real Madrid win the La Liga and the Champions League last season.
