It’s always interesting to see which players have been left out of their respective club’s pre-season tour. Of course, there can be several reasons for their absence such as being given an extended break due to them playing in a summer tournament or the simple fact that they’re injured. However, whenever a player is left out of a pre-season tour, fans instantly fear that it’s because of an impending transfer. So, when Chelsea named their squad for their trip to Beijing, there must have been a few worried supporters. As expected, Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic have been left out as they attempt to negotiate a move away from the club. Meanwhile, new signings Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger will also be absent.
