Newcastle transfer: Newcastle entered race to sign Jesus navas

Jesus Navas is being target by Newcastle United, who have returned to the Premier League.
Newcastle United are hoping to make a splash in the Premier League next season and are hoping to do just that with Jesus on their side.
Reports in Spain have claimed the Magpies are eyeing a move for Jesus Navas after he was released by Manchester City.

He has been linked with a return to his former club, Sevilla, but could yet remain in the Premier League with Newcastle, according to the reports.
The 31-year-old spent four years with the Citizens before he was released by the club at the end of last season.
And according to Spanish news outlet AS, Rafa Bentitez is willing to match the 2010 World Cup winners demand of £1.3million-a-year.
The report also states that last seasons Sky Bet Championship victors have already entered negotiations with Navas to bring him to St James’ Park.
His old club would love to bring him back to La Liga, but his financial demands are proving to be a stumbling block for the five-time Europa League champions.
Benitez is determined to add some much-needed Premier League experience ahead of the upcoming campaign in their first season back in the top-flight since suffering relegation in 2016.
